Flint Construction is involved with the entire wind farm construction process. They begin by preparing the land for construction. Site entrances are built to withstand the traffic of heavy construction equipment and vehicles. Gates and fencing are installed to restrict unauthorized entry to the site. Land is cleared of unwanted trees, brush, and debris. Finally temporary staging areas are made for construction materials, vehicles and heavy construction equipment.

Roads are built to access the site for construction. Temporary pads made of compacted earth, caliche, recycled material or gravel are used for parking, staging, and portable buildings. The top soil is saved for land restoration after removing temporary roads and pads at the end of the project.
